The ezigrip team
“Getting ready to ride is a part of the journey. It should be just as enjoyable as the destination”
HAMISH - MANAGING DIRECTOR AMY - LEAD ENGINEER
Hamish owns and operates the Ezigrip brand. Hamish first delved into business in 2008 when he became an exclusive distributor for high-end automotive parts. When he started mountain biking, his focus shifted to the cycling industry and he eagerly purchased Ezigrip in 2015. Since then Hamish has worked to create a healthy range of products that would appeal to the everyday Kiwi. His ethos is simple, he only produces products he himself would enjoy using.
Amy joined the Ezigrip team in 2019. With a PhD in Civil Engineering and industry experience with leading numeric simulation consultants, she specialises in solid mechanics and advanced structural analysis. Prior to joining Ezigrip, mountain biking was a foreign concept but she was keenly interested in the complexity and simplicity of a well engineered bike rack. She was also very willing to give mountain biking a go and like everyone, fell in love with the sport.
In 1989, Michael Parker, founder of Best Bars, was inspired to create a bike rack. This idea came to life when an adventurous Kiwi sought a custom rack to explore the country's varied landscapes, from sandy beaches to dense forests and snow-capped peaks. Recognizing the spirit for adventure that resonates with every New Zealander, Michael applied the high standards of quality and longevity that had established Best Bars as a trusted name, creating a product that quickly became essential for outdoor enthusiasts.
Now, under the stewardship of Hamish Parker, Michael's son, Ezigrip continues to support adventurers with robust, functional bike racks suited for all types of riders. Hamish, who shares his father's commitment to excellence and has that adventurous spirit with a passion for riding, understands the importance of reliable and versatile equipment for exploring New Zealand's varied terrain. The Parker legacy is evident in Ezigrip's dedication to quality, from offering a wide range of bike racks to ensuring long-lasting performance through comprehensive after-sales support and a vast inventory of spare parts. Ezigrip stands as a testament to innovation and a commitment to adventure, making every journey possible—simply rack it and ride it.
